Vintage French ceramic fruit bowl w/ red glaze 11"

Dating from the 1960s, this lovely hexagonal ceramic fruit bowl has a rich burgundy-red glaze. It has a lattice design to its base and open weave design on the sides.

This ceramic piece was made in Vallauris, France, a Mediterranean town that has been known for ceramics since the nineteenth century and more recently thanks to Picasso and Picault.
