A lovely two-sided painting from the 1950s. On one side is a somewhat pensive portrait of a woman with brown hair and blue eyes. She is dressed in a vibrant green blouse with a yellow ruffled collar and clasps red flowers. On the reverse is a cheerful village street scene with cypress pines and a small chapel. The deft and broad brushstrokes give texture and movement to the piece. It is signed by the artist at the lower right corner of the landscape side. It was sourced in Les Baux-de-Provence, near Saint-Remy-de-Provence. A colorful and unique piece designed to add a touch of French charm to your space and variety to your daily interiors.
