A vintage glass laboratory measuring glass from Chanteduc in Provence, this petite apothecary beaker comes from the personal collection of Patricia Wells. Long displayed in her Paris apartment before moving south, it speaks to the clarity and purpose that shape her kitchens and classrooms.
Clear, bright, and conical with a tidy V-shaped pouring spout, it rests on a circular foot that lifts it lightly from the surface. The rim is fine, the walls transparent, and the surface shows only gentle age that keeps it crisp and fully usable. Scaled to sit comfortably in one hand, it reads as both tool and ornament at Chanteduc, a reminder of the measured craft behind good cooking and careful tasting. Style it on open shelves beside oils and salts, use it to decant freshly squeezed citrus at the worktable, or let it serve as a small vase for garden herbs at the table or on a writing desk. Provenance from Patricia Wells lends warmth and authority to a simple, beautifully useful object that suits an elegant kitchen, a teaching space, or a thoughtfully layered pantry.
