A handsome set of three bentwood nesting tables with beautiful mahogany tops dating from the 1950s. Though not branded, these are attributed to Thonet, and feature in the 1904-1907 Thonet catalogue.

The bent beechwood frames are made from bending solid wood using steam, a technique which ultimately revolutionized furniture design in the 1800s and still carries on today.
