Vintage French Silvered-Metal Wine Bottle Craddle - 10¼"

This charming French mid-20th-century silvered-metal wine bottle holder is worked like a miniature basket, with tightly woven wire sides, an open upper gallery and a twisted carrying handle. The bottle rests at a gentle angle, with the neck supported by the raised end, allowing sediment to remain settled at the base while the wine can be carried and poured directly from the holder. The softly darkened silvered surface and gentle wear give the piece an attractive vintage character. Best suited to standard 750 ml bottles of similar proportions to that shown (Burgundy, Cotes du Rhone...); bottle with high, more pronounced shoulders, such as Bordeaux bottles, may fit less comfortably.
