A striking French terrine dish from the 1970s, distinguished by its generous oval form and lively contrast of colour and texture. The deep body is framed by a broad rim moulded with the words _Malin Plaisir_, lending the piece a playful and distinctly French character. One side is pierced, allowing it to be suspended with a cord or wire.
The bright yellow glazed interior is cheerful and eye-catching, while the exterior is finished in a richly mottled reactive glaze with distinctive leopard-like patterning. Shades of caramel, chestnut, and dark brown intermingle across the surface, creating depth and movement. There are a few small losses to the rim and glaze, gentle signs of use that contribute to the piece's rustic charm.
Whether displayed on a kitchen island, farmhouse table, open shelf, or hung on the wall, it brings warmth, colour, and authentic French country charm to an interior. Filled with bright citrus fruits, it becomes an especially vibrant centrepiece, the fruit echoing the joyful yellow glaze within.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
