Vintage French Zinc Watering Can from Provence

A vintage French zinc watering can from the gardens at Chanteduc, Patricia and Walter Wells’s Provençal home. Part of a charming group of four that Walter gathered over the years, they are the very definition of useful-turned-beautiful. Patricia recalls, “Every time we went to the Carpentras brocante, he would pick up another one!” Described in the notes as old zinc watering cans, decorative and pierced, they are now intended for display rather than watering. Details include a banded shoulder, a rolled rim, a long tapered spout set low on the body, and a comfortable loop handle with a warm, time-worn tone.
