This listing is part of the 'At Home with Patricia Wells' collection of epicurean objects and decorative antiques.
This adorable garden sculpture is cast with reconstituted stone and has a gorgeous weathered patina. It is from the Basse Cour (poultry yard) at Chanteduc, the farmhouse of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence. Patricia and Walter recall finding it in Apt and thinking that it was "just so cute" and as the courtyard was originally a Basse Cour for poultry, they had to have a chicken as a memory of the original residents!

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
