Evocative of Mediterranean light and coastal colors, this vintage Moroccan Berber haik is handwoven in a wool and cotton blend. It features broad, graphic stripes in deep, saturated blue and soft sand tones, animated by crisp accents of chartreuse and coral that add a lively, cheerful touch. Subtle irregularities in the weave and fringe reveal the hand of the maker and the rhythms of traditional production, making each inherently unique. Traditionally worn as a wrapped garment by Berber communities, the haik also served as a versatile household covering, prized for its warmth, durability, and expressive pattern.
Drape it at the foot of a bed, lay it across a dining table for an easy, bohemian setting, clip it as a light curtain over a doorway, or fold it over the back of a sofa as a relaxed throw. In a coastal home, it works beautifully as a sun-filtering door hanging or as a generous blanket to take to the beach and spread out on warm sand. Its ample scale and supple hand allow it to fall effortlessly, bringing warmth, color, and tactile depth to both contemporary and traditional interiors.
Note: As a result of their handwoven construction and utilitarian origins, haiks naturally present irregularities and imperfections that underscore their authentic charm, with gentle signs of age that further enrich their character.
