A lovely ceramic pair of vintage green-glazed terracotta pots from Chanteduc, the home of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence. The distinctive green glaze is typical of pottery from Vallauris on the Mediterranean coast. The taller one is decorated with olives and includes a wooden slotted spoon for straining olives from the brine. The smaller one Patricia also used for storing olives in their brine.
Patricia describes these as "forever" pieces. She loves that the variety of olives she uses can be stored in the brine and left out "for a hundred years or forever!" The pieces were purchased at separate times and make for a delightful addition to a stylish table at aperitif hour.
