Dating from the 1960s, this lovely oval ceramic fruit bowl sports a superb viridian green glaze and a woven design throughout with a twisted rope border around the top. This ceramic piece was made in Vallauris, France, a Mediterranean coastal town that has been known for ceramics since the nineteenth century and more recently thanks to Picasso and Picault.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
