This charming yellow ocher preserving pot dates from the mid-twentieth century and is from Chanteduc, Patricia and Walter Wells' farmhouse in Provence. 

Patricia explains "I don't believe in spoon rests - I prefer to use a pot like this as a spoon rest so you don't have to see any mess and can just clean it out later."
