This vintage French wall-mounted cutlery strainer originates from Cliousclat, a historic pottery village in the Drôme region. Made in the early to mid-20th century, it is crafted from terracotta and finished with a rich black glaze. The surface is hand-decorated with stylized yellow floral motifs and green leaf accents, characteristic of the region’s traditional decorative style.
The piece features two pocket-like compartments with drainage holes underneath, allowing water to run off after washing. A horizontal opening on the back panel enables easy wall mounting. This is a functional and decorative example of rural French kitchenware, ideal for adding authenticity and charm to a traditional interior.
