Patricia bought this lovey antique tile backsplash at L'Isle-sur-La-Sorgue many many years ago, thrilled to find one not yet installed. She imagined it complementing Julia Childs' white La Cornue stove in 'Julia's Kitchen' perfectly. The backsplash features white ceramic tiles framed by timeworn chrome, with visible wear and cracks that enhance its antique charm.
Notably, a piece of match-striking paper still clings to one side, once used for lighting Julia's stove. This piece not only serves as a functional backsplash but also as a memento of culinary history.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
