Lovely blue confit pot - 1900s France, 10¼"

SKU: 16839

US$377
An exquisite fully glazed French blue terracotta confit pot with white glaze interior dating from the early twentieth century. Likely from the small coastal village of Agde or its neighbor, Sète, this confit pot was originally used for preserving. Sometimes seen gracing the pages of the classic French magazine "Coté Sud", this pot would make a lovely flower vase, kitchen utensil holder, or transformed into a table lamp to add a touch of the French coast to your interiors.

Note minor glaze chips to handles.
