An impressive Haussmannian œil-de-bœuf dormer in hand-formed zinc from the late 19th, now mounted as a mirror with an antique mercury-backed plate. Grand in scale and architectural in presence, the deeply stepped and molded oval surround is flanked by bold volute scrolls that give the piece commanding decorative impact. The zinc retains a soft lead-grey tone with layered oxidation, visible hand-soldered seams, and small dents that speak to its former rooftop life. 

The mercury plate displays the beautifully sparkling, crystalline bloom so prized in antique mirrors, with scattered foxing and light surface marks that animate the reflection with depth and movement. Overall condition is good, with a richly weathered patina and authentic timeworn character, its generous proportions making it a dramatic focal point in any interior.
