A charming small oval French folding winemaker’s table dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
The oval pine tabletop, edged with a simple wooden rim, has developed a beautifully aged patina, with gently worn surfaces and naturally timeworn joinery. Thoughtful in construction and full of character, it has an elegant presence that works particularly well in decorative settings. The top still tilts easily and remains fully functional, a practical feature originally designed to make storage and cleaning easier in rustic winemaking environments.
Traditionally, winemaker’s tables were used for lunch breaks between work in the vines, whether pruning, harvesting, or training fresh spring growth onto the wires.
Perfect for a garden room, breakfast nook, or entryway, this winegrower’s table can be styled with seasonal flowers, pottery, or collected objects. Its sculptural base and softly weathered texture bring warmth and authenticity to both classic and contemporary interiors.
Two similar vigneron's tables are available for separate purchase - a large oak table and medium pine table. See last photograph.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
