This lovely French confit pot is from the south of France and dates from the late nineteenth-century. Two features in particular are rather unique - it is entirely glazed (rather than just the top half) and it has a tapered base. A lovely piece to display in a collection of antique French pottery.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
