Three-Piece Green-Glazed Tea Set, Vallauris, c. 1960

A three-piece French tea and coffee service by Aegitna, Vallauris, dating from around 1960, comprising a generous teapot, covered sugar bowl, and creamer. The pieces share beautifully simple, rounded forms, enlivened by dark handles with a subtle upward flick, echoed by the pointed finials and sweeping teapot spout. Their rich green glaze is particularly lively, softly freckled and slightly textured, with natural shifts in tone that emphasize the handcrafted character of the ceramics. Each piece is stamped Aegitna Vallauris beneath the base and remains in very good condition, with natural variations in the glaze that reflect its artisanal production. 

The appeal of the group lies in the contrast between the calm, rounded forms and the lively movement of the handles, spout, and softly mottled glaze. Its shifting green tones catch the light beautifully, giving the three pieces a strong decorative presence whether used at the table or grouped together on a kitchen shelf, sideboard, or open cabinet.
