This rustic French confit pot dates from the late nineteenth-century. It has timeworn green glaze with some losses. Originally used for storing preserves over winter, it was made in South West France - a well loved pot that will make a lovely addition to a collection of antique pottery. No hole in base.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
